Day TWO in Perth!

17th August 2016

Started the day earlier, and headed out with my dasao to go rent a car!
As we were traveling with 2 other aunties (mom's friends) + us... we needed a big car.
And after doing some research, we decided to rent from Burswood!

The rental was quite affordable, and it was a hugee car. Comfortable too!!
Pretty easy to drive too, so all's good!
We then headed back to our accom to pick up the old and the young :P

I really think nattie is sooooo cute and pretty <3
Especially when she's dressed in winter clothing. So cuteeee. She's really an angel when she's alone.

To continue with nattie, she really loves to draw... and she's an introvert.
Give her papers and a pencil, she will quietly draw all day long. <3
So our plan for the day was shopping! And we went to Westfield to get some shopping done.

I think because it's winter, so a lot of the shops were closed really early.
But nonetheless, we got some shopping done (more like me :P).... while nattie just follows us around and eat her sweets nonstop. heh.
Had some desserts and coffee too!

And we headed back home for home-cooked dinner!! :D
Aunty was really nice because she offered to cook us dinner daily as the foods were really expensive in Perth... and she said that we can save some money by doing so.
Ah... so hospitable!
The foods were really tasty too!

So we had yet another early night, but it was good for me, cos i could catch up on my school work+ shows :P hehe.

Day ONE in Perth!

16th August 2016

The last time I went to Aussie was when I was 11 years old! And it was also my very FIRST time taking an airplane... SQ even!
I remember how I was sooo excited getting on board and flying overseas with SC Dance!! (pic below)

And exactly a decade later, I am heading back to Perth!!! :')))
So, can you imagine my excitement! hehe.
And this time, i'm going with the mother, the niece and the SIL.

Thank God we were taking Scoot... because it's the most comfy flight out of all the other budget flights! hehe.
Nattie slept so comfortably on me till my legs were cramped!!

And we were greeted by the beautiful sunset when we landed...:")
So yes, Hello Perth!!

After clearing immigration and all, by the time we were out, it was already pitch dark!
But it was barely 7pm??!
And it was pretty cold already!! ah... love such weather!!

We then proceeded to our accommodation place, and it was hosted by my mom's friend who relocated to Perth. haha.

The apartment was really quite big. They had two different houses connected... where my mom's friend and her son+wife lived in another house... while guests lived in the other.
And the kitchen and living room was the central/common area.
It was super clean too! So we really had a very comfortable stay, and it felt like home.

After putting our things down, I headed out for a late dinner with my dasao and nattie to Alfred's Kitchen!!!
It was such a cool/nice/unique sight to see the locals sitting by the fireplace, enjoying their burgers and just chilling.
And after ordering our burgers, we did the same too!!
The burgers were hugeee, so we shared. And it was really quite tasty!!

After finishing our food, we walked around for a bit, took a few photos, and headed back to our apartment for an early night!

#EKGR in Penang Day 5!

5th August 2016

Last day in Penang and we started our day early with yummy meatball noodles that aunties brought us to!

And cos renee and gladys loved the chendol, we went back to have it one last time!
I won't call myself a fan of chendol, cos I won't crave for it ... neither do I like the ingredients in them... But this chendol was really quite yummy. :p
I like it on its own without all the other ingredients hehe.

And some muah chee to munch on!
But it wasn't any normal muah chee... it was passionfruit muah chee. hahah!
Quite interesting.

And we had the original penang road laksa!! yum yum.
The signs were a little bit suspicious... but because aunties' son knew the owner, he verified that it's the original laksa store.
What was so sad is the fact that they got "chased" out of the original coffeeshop (because they were doing so well)... and now they are located at like the end of the alley.... which nobody really knows :(
So I remember how when we were eating inside, est was like shouting to the passerby that "this is the original laksa store!!! come!! so yummy!!!" etc. ahahah.

We then drove onto this huge carrier that brought us across the sea to the other part of Penang. (can't exactly remember the name of the place :P)
It was quite a short ride too, about 15 minutes?

When we reached the other side, we drove to this 'satay' stall.
Basically it was like fruits and various food items on the satay sticks! hah

and then we came to this super pretty paddy fields! Reminds me of Taiwan!
So, we just spammed our photos :P

and then we visited some bats' cave!
it was too dark to see much oh well.

oh, and we went to see some temple that had the biggest buddha or something.
The view up there was quite nice, cos it was such a steeeppp way up!

our last meal back in Penang main area.... CHAR KWAY TEOW.
And this, was so so good.
Cooked by an old man, who set up his stall along the road. But we could sit inside this shop to have our CKT, and ofcos, gotta order drinks.
We waited for almost an hour for it!! :O
But it was so goooood.
And aunties dabaoed a few duck legs for us to try too! they were huge! hahaha

and the bidding had to be done and said....
altho there was a slight jam on our way to the airport... I was already preparing my hearts to say goodbye to aunties, who felt like our grandma :"(
I got emotional, as usual. :"(
But, its been so amazing because of them... and till now, we still have our groupchat with them, and they will still randomly message and send us cute messages that we will laugh at. haha.

so yay, here's the end of my Penang trip!!!
next up... my Perth trip, and then my Thailand trip... and then i can blog my Korea trip when i am there!!!!
gogogogoooooO!
