Work-weekend at MS

Last week was a super crazy and hectic week.. Worked non stop in the days leading to our mega sales weekend, but it was all worth it. 

I don't go to the warehouse often but I went consecutively for don't know how many days last week.. But heee it was fun working with Xen, Sabas and Lihao around! Pam helped out for one of the day, and it was also the day when we had a really cool dinner time. We ordered pizzas and we created a movie-theatre feel. ;) 

We were watching some planes movie (cartoon. lol) But we didn't stay for long bcos we had to get ready for the busy weekends ahead!! 

It was a superrrrr busy weekend and many came to our booths! I was kept busy that time just flew by! 

On the side note, I was really happy that V came to work too!! Bcos we finally managed to catch up with one another while working and during breaks ;p

It was really tiring but, hmm.... I'm super happy too!! Because I bought soooo many new clothes from MS and they were R E A L L Y cheap!! It was a steal!! I bought a total of 9 items at $70?!?!? (Not including the dress sponsored by my sis and a crop top + shorts sponsored by my SIL)

Hehehee, so I'm super happy with my loots because I managed to buy many items that I always wanted!! 

Well, I guess I just have to cut down on my spending in bkk?! :p (but I'm guessing it's impossible) 

Missystella Mega Sales

Work is much more fun with these girls around today!! So thankful for their help because we were able to finish pasting the stickers on more than 2000 items for our mega sales this weekend!! 

Started off the day with just Jlynn, Pam and Jerm ... But after awhile, we were all "drowning" amongst plastic bags, clothes, boxes etc. 

I was just looking forward to lunch, because I was totally craving for this super yummy mee pok at food republic!! It is a MUST EAT every time i go to the warehouse! ;p

We were all shopping while working at the same time. Haha!! And we already reserved what we wanted ;) WOOHOO! Personally, I bought 5 items. Hehe. A clutch bag (which I eyed for since the very first day it was launched), a classic black dress, a long sleeve cropped top, a black studded sleeveless top (which I also wanted for very long) and another off shoulder long sleeve top!! 

It's really too worth it to NOT buy any of them!!!! (Even though I've been very very disciplined in not buying any clothes the past few months because I wanna save up and release my #shopaholic inner man in BKK) But the quality of these clothes are really superb and it wouldn't be able to compare to the clothes in bkk!!! (Haha ok maybe I'm just trying to give myself excuse to shop ;p) 

But!!! Please do pop by Suntec Convention level 3 this weekend, from 11-9pm to visit our booth and have a good time shopping!! I promise you, you won't regret and you will sure leave with many items in your hands!!!! We have many varieties of clothes waiting for you!! ;)

Sheares supper with A3

Before I met my OG for supper at sheares, I crashed Agnes's room because I was afraid I wouldn't have any more shuttle buses in. But I was so glad to have met her up for that short 1-2 hours because we finally got to catch up with each other after SOT has ended.

Girls being girls, we had to take pictures! ;p and I'm just so proud to own an iPhone 6 because the camera is super good! 

   

And I found this polaroid on her table!! Soo sweet!! :') 

But anyway, sheares supper is really the bomb!! It was so cheap too!! :p 

The Daniel naan was just so yummy!! And it was what every Shearites recommended! Hehe. 

Had a really good time catching up with my OG mates, especially after not meeting them up since O week camp!!

And oh yes! I went to find Jess at her hall too, since Kent Ridge hall was just beside Sheares. But guess what I did there (at 1 am)?? I was looking at her do her archi stuff... Hahhaa but I finally saw her after a gazillion years!! 

But yay! Thank God for a great night! :) 

When God speaks

I went inside this really interesting shop in Star Vista last night and chanced upon this notebook section which had really pretty designs and different verses on them. 

Couldn't help but to get two of them (even though I have no idea what I'm gonna use it for yet)!! Because one of them had the verse that I've been meditating on recently. :') 

It's really amazing how God can just speak to us in every possible ways... And all we gotta do is just to open up our ears and our eyes to see and to listen. He speaks in a still small voice and He also speaks in a still small way.

Birthday Celebration For Adi

School is never boring with my all-time-favourite "minahs". :p
I am just so thankful and glad to have Zah and Adi in NUS together with me, and for their constant support and encouragement to me :')

So today, I met Adi immediately after my last lecture to go to her hall while we waited for Zah to be done with her class.
And this lady over here, made me walk all the way from Utown to her hall which is located at PGP terminal......
Guess what was her reason for choosing to walk (and the walk was about 15-20 mins)?
"The bus stop is so crowded, it's impossible to squeeze up onto the bus. So let's just walk okay?"
"No... Can one. I always manage to get on the bus!"
"Don't want lah... i am so tired and lazy..."
THE IRONY!!! She said she was tired and lazy... and yet she still chose to walk??

So yes. We walked. And walking to her hall is further than walking back to my home from Utown, and the thing is, I've never chosen to walk. HAHA. (yes, I am lazy. :P)

I guess I must be the bestest friend, because I was wearing a (thick) long sleeve top and it was the usual Singapore weather (hot and sunny). Furthermore, I had to walk up that long flight of stairs... (pictures above are the proofs. haha)

I am sure I've burnt a lot of calories from all those walking and climbing. 

But, I still enjoyed it because we were just sharing so much with each other that the walk seemed rather short. 

We headed to Star Vista for our dinner and I tried Nene Chicken for the first time!
I must say, it's really not bad at all and in my opinion, it's nicer than Four Fingers! (or maybe my recent meal at Westgate's Four Fingers was a let down.. because it was not like how i first ate it in Ion)
After dinner, we headed to do some grocery shopping, and being the gluttons that we are, we wanted to buy everything that we saw.

But anyway, happiest birthday dearest Adi. I am so glad to have met you 6 years ago in SC and for the (most memorable) Kuantan trip that drew all of us so close. You have been such a blessing to me and I am always here for you. I love you babe!

Cafe hopping with Jlynn

About a month back, J and I went to check out Wimbly Lu that was located somewhere in Serangoon during one of our lunch dates. It was super far away for us but we just had to try it!

We got lost while searching for the cafe as it was surrounded by landed properties. And it didn't helped that it was a super sunny and hot day! We even walked past the cafe unknowingly because the sign for the shop was designed on the floor tiles!! 

Nevertheless, I had a good time chilling out with J over a cup of chai latte / honey lemon / (amazing) waffle with salted caramel ice cream / molten lava cake ... #sinfuldelights 

I really love the interior design of this quaint little cafe and it really provided a nice background for some photo takings. ;) 

But anyway, I had a really good time catching up with J after not seeing her daily due to the fact that SOT has ended. There are just so few people in my life whom I can be fully comfortable with and she is definitely one of the few. 

So thankful to be able to go through SOT with her because it was what brought us closer together. Thank you for always being there for me and being the best listening ear :') 

You are truly a gem. One that I will keep super closely to my heart. Love you Jlynn sunshine, my best friend. ❤️

Bringing my blog back to life

So, I suddenly had the overwhelming urge to start blogging all over again.

I recently visited this blog and had a good laugh at all my old posts. (Haha. Everyone goes through such phases in life right?)
But it brought back so much memories and make me realize how blogs are so useful in keeping them.
And, I am just going to continue blogging here even though my old posts, since 2006, are so embarassing! 🙈

Updates about my life:

I am currently studying in my dream university - NUS.

Never have I imagined I would be able to get in here... Or to even get through the arduous journey of preparing for A levels.. But nevertheless, I survived it, all by the grace of God.

Semester 1 is coming to an end pretty soon, with my finals coming up in 2 weeks! Can't believe how time just flies like this... It's really crazy!

I've also just graduated from SOT 2014 a month plus back! It was an amazing journey.

The best friend that God has blessed me with, to lead team 9 together and to walk through this journey hand in hand.. I am so thankful for you, Tan Joelynn. :')

Coming to SOT was always my desire and I am just so blessed to have been able to embark on this amazing journey.

I've learnt so much during the 7 months in SOT. Made so many new friends and forged many good friendships. It wasn't easy at all, but I know, I've became stronger and tougher. 

God doesn't give us what we cannot go through and He always have the best intentions for us. :') 

I can really say, in SOT, my values are being fine-tuned and my character is being moulded. 

Thankful for all the angels that He has placed in my life... Because without them, I would never be able to go through all of these. 

So,.. Soli Dei Gloria.

alright, it has beeeen a few months since i lasst blogged.
cant deny that sec4 life is really busy, its hectic.
its already the end of april.. may is coming soon.
chinese Os is approaaching.
i really hope to be able to get A1 for chineese.

i really cant wait for the terrible Os to be over... cant wait for my freedom.

but still, i count my blessings daily.
i thank God for placing good and awesome friends in my life :)

one less lonely girl

2011 has been a blast so far... :)

loved the way i counted down and invited the new year in with my awesome batch of friends.
nearly, the whole of kelzone was at marina sq! hehe.
we were all spraying at each other. bleah.

well, school has started and today was the second day of school.
my class has only 27 people now... hahahah,
and im sitting next to esther! :D

ft and ct changed too..
prefect mistresses changed too..
teachers are gone..
SO MANY CHANGES>

4DG's ft is miss teng, and she was ft of 3dg 09 and 4dg 10 too!
she's really nice and i can tell that she will make our class really bonded by planning all the activities.
she loves plants, super funny and she names them.
and our ct is miss lee (new chinese teacher), she speaks english too and she very cute.
hahaha.

miss wong, mr teo, mrs hee ... all left the school,
so prefect mistresses changed to mrs de, ms heng (new teacher from pri sch) and mr cho.
hAHAHA.
i dont really know them yet..
except mrs de.
haha.

oh well... tmr gotta help out in sec 1 orientation, campfire.. gotta stay till 9pm.
omgoodnesss.
