9 December, Day Four
Woke up at about 6am and went to the Pratunam morning market to shop! It was the BEST shopping experience I had in BKK!!!!! Even better than Chatuchak!!
Things were incredibly cheap, but the thing was, we gotta buy minimum 3 pieces always. So, I ended up buying so so much and even more than what I bought in Chatuchak.... BUT I spent much lesser too! Woohoo!
It's super fun to shop with J and it really isn't stressful at all, because we both have the same exact shopping style! We both love to see EVERY shop and we make sure we cover every corner! So we literally saw every single shops!!!! We even walked into this shopping mall (and we don't even know the name of the mall?) that was located in the midst of the market and did some shopping there too!
So the trick is, go to Pratunam morning market first, then go to Chatuchak and Platinum if you wanna save some money! (Besides, the clothes are all pretty similar)
We spent about 2-3 hours shopping in the market and because our hotel was so conveniently located NEXT TO the pratunam market (infact, once we step out of the hotel, it was the market itself!!), we could put down our loots in our room first before heading for breakfast.
We decided to have our breakfast at this stall that always had long queue every single day, and guess what? It turned out to be the famous wanton noodle shop, SabX2 wanton noodles. The portion is pretty small, but wow... The ingredients with the wanton noodle was so yumz. I wish I ate more though....
And heheh, I totally loveeee Thai milk tea!!!!!!! and it's like 80baht only!!! Even though it's sweet, (im a sweet tooth btw) I have to drink it everyday!!
But anyway, after lunch, J and I went back to our hotel to take a nap (since we only had like 3-4 hours of sleep) and then we continued with our shopping...
But first, we were snacking away! According to some posts I read, there were a few street foods that we should try, and since we walked past some of the street stalls selling the same thing, we decided to give it a try.
So I ordered some waffle, and it's supposed to be crunchy, but to my disappointment, it wasn't :( and there's like coconut in it..?
J ordered the banana coconut crepes and my my, it was yummy! But, there are coconut in them too!
Then we ordered this thing called Fried Squid Egg and......... It's no surprise that there's coconut in them too! But it was toooo much coconut it was a lil bit gross :/
We finally went to Platinum shopping mall and went from the highest level to the lowest. According to J, I was buying things that I would totally not buy in the markets the past few days. Haha! And I really didn't shop a lot in Platinum bcos as compared to what I bought in the different markets, the clothes in Platinum are so much more expensive except for some sales going on!
Had curry chicken rice for lunch at the foodcourt and it wasn't that bad!
Saw this super pretty Pomeranian doggy in one of the jewelery shop and I couldn't resist not taking a picture with it either!!!
It was soon evening time, and we headed to the night markets again! Our dinner was just some random street food stall, which had a long queue, and it turned out to be minced meat noodles!
We didn't know where to sit so we sat on the steps around that area since many of the other Thais were sitting there too while eating! And to our surprise, we were being "protected" by 3 other police officers. Hahaa.
It was a rather relaxing day and we got carried away taking selfies with the different snoopy!
And yes! We tried the fried banana prata too even though SG has pratas, but I loveeee the condensed milk and chocolate sauce with it! *slurps*
And I just gotta buy and drink the Yakult again, just because it's only a dollar for this amount and it was niceeee!
Shopaholic Kar takes over again and these are all my loots for day 4!! And it is also the last day i get to shop in bkk!
