6 December, Day One
Finally, our much awaited-most-spontaneous-trip was here!! I remember how a month plus ago, I just casually asked Jess if she wanted to go BKK in December, and to my surprise, she was so spontaneous that she said "okay!! I don't mind!" ... And that was how the both of us just came to BKK by ourselves.
It was the first time in my life that I travelled alone with just another friend to go overseas... And it was my first time to BKK (as far as I remember bcos I think I did come to bangkok when I was really small), so I was really excited for this trip!!
We were so blur and had our bimbo moment in the plane because we were both happily sitting at the wrong seats unknowingly. Even till the point when two other passengers asked if we were at the wrong seats and we could still reply them that we are at the right seat.... Then we realised we should be infront instead. Hahah!
Immediately after landing, we got our SIM cards and took a cab to our hotel. And after checking in, we went out to shop and to eat!!!! (Though it was already 8+ pm?)
Thankfully there were quite a few stalls that were opened along the outskirts of platinum mall, so I could do some shopping! I really couldn't believe how cheap the clothes were and I was really happy to buy those clothes (shown in the picture above). I guess my shopaholic nature was coming out cause I bought that many clothes in less than an hour. Hehe.
For the first time in my life, I tried the most-talked-about mango sticky rice and it was really good and yummy! Love the mangoes because they were so sweet and they go really well with the sticky rice!
And yipee to the Meiji milk, bcos it's my favourite and it was ridiculously cheap!!!! I wished I can buy them all back to SG tho!
But my day one in bkk (not really considered a day since we landed at night) was pretty fun!
